KUNTALA WATERFALL

Kuntaala Waterfall is the highest waterfall in the Andhra Pradesh state with a height of 45 meters. about 55Km from the district centre and 12Km from the village Neredigonda(mandal).

According to the popular and prevalent local belief Kuntaala Waterfall got its name after Shakuntala, the beloved wife of King Dushyanth; the pair fell in love with each other and were mesmerized by the scenic beauty of the surroundings. The locals also believe that Shakuntala used to bathe by the waterfall.

The beauty of the splashing waters and music of the gushing waters is sure to make the visitor spell bound.



How to reach Kuntala?

250 kms from Hyderabad, 45 kms (appoximately) from Nirmal, and 15 kms from neradigonda.

Pochera Waterfalls is located at a distance of 50 kms from Adilabad, and 45 kms from Nirmal and 8Kms form Boath. The gorgeous waterfalls are wide and deep so it is advisable to be careful as one approaches it. Local people can be used to go up to the waterfall. It is a natural waterfall with picturesque and beautiful scenery. It is a very big, wide and deep waterfall.

The water that flows in separate and narrow streams unite and with gushing speed fall from a height of 20mts. The water thus collects on a platform of hill resembling a small lake.
